In May of 2016, Mackenzie and her husband, Jim, moved to Mississippi for her husband’s new job. Both recent college graduates, they were eager to begin their new life in Laurel. Between working her part-time job and spending time with Jim, Mackenzie had the opportunity to volunteer, and quickly became integrated into the Choices Clinic of Laurel community. After a couple months of training, the role of administrative assistant became available, and Mackenzie joined the Choices Clinic team. A year later, she transitioned roles and became the Outreach Coordinator.
Mackenzie is eager and excited to work with an organization where both her faith and passion collide. She has a strong desire for serving, encouraging and empowering those in need, specifically high school and college students, with Choices Clinic.
Although new to our staff, Denise has been involved with the Choices Clinic of Laurel for many years. She and her husband, Steven, have served as table hosts for many of our banquets. In addition, Denise has chaired two of our past banquets and served as Secretary of the Board of Directors.
She and Steven are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church. They have raised 4 children in Laurel and are the very proud grandparents of five “amazing little people”. Denise has 20+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, having worked in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
“God providentially provided me the opportunity at just the right time to use my knowledge and past work experience at Choices Clinic. I look forward to the future of Choices Clinic and to building relationships with the outstanding staff and volunteers that He has put in place to serve Him and our clients through this ministry. It is my prayer that all we do will bring glory and honor to His precious name.”
